Our cookie preference
palace_cookie_choice is a first-party preference cookie. It records your choice, a policy version and the time of that choice, so the notice does not reappear on every page. It does not contain your name, email, phone number or enquiry. It lasts for up to 180 days, unless you clear it sooner or change your choice. It is available across this website, uses SameSite=Lax and uses the Secure attribute on HTTPS connections.
Essential WordPress cookies
When an administrator or another account holder uses the login area, WordPress can set authentication and preference cookies, including names beginning with wordpress_, wordpress_logged_in_ and wp-settings-. The login screen can also set wordpress_test_cookie and a language preference such as wp_lang. Their duration depends on the account session, Remember Me setting and WordPress configuration. A visitor does not need to log in to send an enquiry.
The hosting service may also use essential security or caching mechanisms to operate the website. The contact form’s duplicate and rate-limit records are kept on the server, rather than in tracking cookies in your browser.
Optional cookies and your choice
The supplied Palace theme and enquiry features do not include advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Selecting Accept cookies records permission for optional cookies; Essential only declines them. With the current supplied features, neither option activates analytics or advertising. Essential functionality and the contact form remain available whichever option you choose.
If optional services are introduced, their purposes and providers must be disclosed here and connected to the consent controls before they are activated. A cookie choice does not give permission for marketing calls or messages.
Changing or clearing your choice
Select Cookie preferences in the website footer to reopen the notice and make a different choice. You can also manage or clear cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect account login and prevent the website from remembering your preference; it does not intentionally prevent you from sending an enquiry. A cleared, expired or unrecognised preference causes the notice to appear again.
Other websites and questions
Following a WhatsApp or Google Maps link opens an external service. That service controls its own cookies and privacy practices. This site’s controls cannot change cookies on a different website.

Embedded Google Map
The Contact page includes an optional Google Map. It connects to Google only after you choose Load Google Map. That choice applies to the current page and does not change your general cookie preference. Google may receive your IP address and browser information and may use its own cookies under its Privacy Policy. Hide map removes the embedded frame and stops further use of that frame, but cannot undo information already sent to Google or clear cookies on Google’s domain. Opening Get directions also takes you to Google Maps.
Google security verification
When enabled, Google reCAPTCHA helps protect enquiry and account forms from automated abuse. It loads when you choose Start verification or attempt to submit a protected form. Google may process your IP address, browser/device information and interactions and use cookies to assess the request. The verification response is checked by our server before a submission is accepted. Review Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. Starting this check is separate from the general cookie preference. If you cannot use it, contact the venue by phone.
Remembering your cookie choice
We store your cookie preference in a first-party cookie and browser local storage for up to 180 days from your choice. Session storage provides a fallback for the current browser tab when persistent storage is unavailable. These records contain only your preference, its version and the time it was chosen, and are not used for tracking. You can change your choice through Cookie preferences in the footer or reset it by clearing this website’s cookies and site storage. If your browser blocks all storage, your choice can only be remembered on the current page.
